Labor and Delivery services at the Modesto Medical Center will the first offered at a Kaiser Permanente facility in the Central Valley. Each private, well-appointed Labor and Delivery suite has been designed and furnished to promote feelings of calm and relaxation. Whenever possible, mother and baby will remain in the same room post-delivery, so their recovery is hastened and not interrupted. Our compassionate staff of physicians, nurses and certified nurse midwives is committed to making the childbirth experience a joyous one. Our level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is there for newborns who need a little more attention.
