Campaign Ambassadors
The Kaiser Permanente Community Giving Campaign needs ambassadors at every medical center to make sure that all campaign activities run smoothly, from promotion to administration. The Ambassador role usually has a time commitment of August to October 31.To become a medical center ambassador, or a department ambassador, contact Duke Keshishian at 626-405-3661.
Ambassadors' tasks generally include:
- Submit proposed budgets of expenditures
- Sets local campaign goals
- Encourage local leadership to help promote campaign
- Where applicable, work with the Physician Champion to disseminate information and promote the campaign
- Adhere to campaign targets and deadlines
- Attend the KPCGC Regional Ambassador Rally and Recognition in August
- Be responsible and accountable for your medical center budget and allocation of materials and resources to manage the campaign
- Develop a relationship with your Federation partners to assist you with the campaign
- Recruit medical office building and department ambassadors
- Schedule and host an orientation (face to face or simply by e-mail)
- Schedule a kpcgc information fair for medical center employees and at smaller facilities
- Contact department managers, administrative assistants and provide them with information and visuals to share with employees at staff meetings
- Distribute paper forms to departments where computer access is difficult
- Offer incentives to departments that have 100% giving
Within each Medical Center, there are Facility and Department Ambassadors who:
- Work with your Medical Center Ambassador or Regional Coordinator to arrange for an information table or KPCGC information fair
- Distribute materials and information you receive from your Medical Center or Regional Coordinator
- Post flyers/posters in break rooms, cafeterias, etc.
- Promote campaign within your facility or department
- Send out email reminders to your department (do not use send alls without authorization)
