The 2007 middle school billboard winner

We've chosen the winners!

The "Don't Buy the Lie" tobacco-use prevention education campaign and billboard contest is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services Tobacco Education Program. The contest is in its fourteenth year.


Grand prize winners!

Summer E.,
an eighth grade student at Andrew Carnegie Middle School in San Juan Unified School District, is our 2007 middle school grand prize winner in the "Don't Buy the Lie" tobacco-use prevention contest. She received a $1,000 savings bond for having one of the grand prize winning entries.

Kenya B. , a twelfth grade student at Sheldon High School in Elk Grove Unified School District, is our 2007 high school grand prize winner in the "Don't Buy the Lie" tobacco-use prevention contest. Kenya also received a $1,000 savings bond for having a grand prize winning entry.

Summer and Kenya's winning entries will appear on 30 billboards in the greater Sacramento area. More than 750,000 people a day will see their billboards during May and June of 2007.
