Audition for the Educational Theatre Programs!

Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Programs typically hold auditions every year in the spring for Actor/Educators. This is an opportunity to perform and educate in the schools while inspiring young people to make informed decisions about their health.  Actor/Educators are hired full time, average starting pay is $17 per hour, plus benefits.

Watch the newspapers for audition notices beginning in late February/early March.  You will be required to mail in your resume and headshot/photo for a pre-screening process.  Auditions require a 2 minute prepared monologue which can be anything of your choosing and does not have to be children’s theatre related.

Applicants need to have a youthful appearance and should be able to pass as a teenager or a person in their twenties. Applicant must be enthusiastic, have the ability to sing, do dance/movement, workshop facilitation, and have the ability to serve in a public relations role and be a positive role model for children.  Final applicants will be required to go through the Kaiser Permanente hiring process which does include drug testing.
