Auditions

Auditions for Performer/Educators for the 2008-2009 season are scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, and Wednesday, April 30. In order to audition you must be at least 18 years of age and be able to play roles aged 12-18. You must also have a valid California driver’s license. Peer and health education experience is a plus.

To be considered for an audition slot you must e-mail etpauditions@kp.org no earlier than January 15, 2008, and no later than April 25, 2008. The e-mail should include a resume and recent picture or headshot. Audition appointments will be arranged by staff at Educational Theatre Programs. We will then forward resumes and pictures to Kaiser Permanente (KP) Recruitment. Recruitment will contact you to complete an application. Completed applications are required no later than the day of your audition.

All auditioners will be asked to perform a 1-minute monologue from a contemporary and youthful piece (see sample monologues).

We will hand this out after the audition. If you are called back, please bring it with you to callbacks.

Callbacks

Callbacks are scheduled for Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. If you are called back, you must attend one of these days—and be able to attend the entire day—in order to be considered for an interview. At the callbacks please be prepared to sing a few phrases (2 – 5 seconds) of a song (a cappella), learn a choreographed dance, participate in a team-building exercise, and participate in cold scene readings.
