PEACE Signs

PEACE Signs uses the power of theatre to show upper elementary students how to resolve conflicts without violence - and why it's important to prevent violence. The program is designed to complement other violence prevention efforts in your school or community and is provided free of charge as a community benefit of Kaiser Permanente.

Through this program, participants learn

  • A three-step conflict resolution model.
  • Empathy, respect, and how to identify feelings.
  • Cooperation and communication.
  • How violence affects people.
  • To seek help from trusted adults.

The program includes a student performance, educator materials, an in-class workshop, and a Family Night performance. The Family Night performance concludes the program and is an ideal opportunity to partner with community resources and bring together students and family members to talk about how to “increase the peace.”
