About the ShowFor Teens to Adults Secrets educates students about the dangers of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases by providing them with a realistic look into the lives of people impacted by the HIV virus. As enlightening as it is entertaining, Secrets uses humor and drama to provide students with the facts about HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections. This award-winning drama follows the life of a popular high school athlete named Eddie. After engaging in some risky behavior, Eddie finds out he has contracted HIV and his illness could have been prevented. As the play unfolds, students learn how the choices they make can have a lasting impact on their health and the health of those they care about. Based on the true stories of people with AIDS, Secrets was created with the help of health experts, educators, licensed counselors, and parents.
