The Best Me Assembly
Grades 1-5The Best Me Assembly uses music, drama, dance, comedy, and audience participation to promote healthy eating and active living. Through a 45-minute live performance, students discover ways to make healthier choices as they develop their own Best Me Promise. The Best Me Assembly includes the 45-minute performance as well as online access to The Best Me Educator Guide, which provides supplemental classroom activities that support California State Content Standards.
The Best Me Program
Grades 3-5The Best Me Program helps students understand the benefits of making healthier life choices. This program includes a 45-minute live performance that uses audience participation, comedy, drama, music, and dance to promote healthy eating and active living. Additionally, The Best Me Program includes an educator orientation, classroom workshops, The Best Me Educator Guides, student activity guides, and a Family Night performance. PEACE Signs
Grades 3-6PEACE Signs uses the power of theatre to teach students how to resolve conflicts without violence. A live performance is the centerpiece of this multi-intervention program which includes educator orientations, in-class workshops, an educator guide, classroom poster, CD soundtrack, and a special Family Night performance. This program requires a weeklong commitment.
Nightmare on Puberty St.
Grades 6-8Nightmare on Puberty St. is a tongue-in-cheek journey through middle school, where the pressures of childhood and adulthood meet. A cast of four performer/educators use comedy, music, dance, and drama to bring to life the issues facing middle school students. In addition to the live performance, the program includes a question-and-answer session, role-play opportunities, and resource materials for the students and teachers.
Secrets
Teens-AdultsSecrets blends drama, humor, and music into a powerful, live performance that provides the audience with facts about HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections. After each performance, the cast members, who are trained extensively as peer health educators, lead a question-and-answer session with the audience. Parent and teacher guides are also offered as part of the program.

All AudiencesCommunity Troupe uses the elements and characters of our touring productions to provide valuable health information to California’s children, teens, and adults at health fairs, community gatherings, grand openings, and special events.
