Secrets blends drama, humor, and music into a powerful, live performance that provides the audience with facts about HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). By seeing performer/educators portray high school students in familiar situations, teen and adult audiences can identify with the realistic characters and understand the impact HIV, AIDS, and STIs can have on people’s lives. Secrets was created in conjunction with physicians, teachers, licensed counselors, and parents. The medical facts provided are based on up-to-date research from world-renowned medical institutions. Secrets provides information about:

  • Abstinence – the Only 100% Effective Way to Prevent HIV and STI Infection
  • Resistance to Peer Pressure
  • HIV/AIDS/STI Transmission
  • The Risks of Being Sexually Active
  • Positive Parent-Teen Communication

After each performance, the Secrets cast members, who are trained extensively as peer health educators, lead a question-and-answer session with the audience. Parent information and educator guides are also offered as part of the Secrets program.
