Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre Programs (ETP) offers a unique series of dynamic theatre productions with compelling health messages. These programs, which reach children, teens and adults, promote individual responsibility for one’s health, instill positive attitudes about healthy lifestyle choices, and demonstrate the benefits of positive action. This award-winning company has been producing nationally since 1985 and in Georgia since 1995. Today, more than eight different shows are offered free-of-charge as a community benefit to the Georgia region. Each year, ETP reaches more than 65,000 children, teens and adults throughout the metro Atlanta area.
Topics addressed in the performances range from AIDS awareness and stress management to grief counseling and health and wellness messages, such as nutrition and asthma education.
“Educational theatre makes learning interesting. When people are interested they listen and retain what they learn,” said Bett Potazek, the program’s Artistic Director.
