Communications Practice Leader for Health Policy

Jon Stewart is the Communications Practice Leader for Government Relations and Health Policy. Prior to joining the Program Office Communications Department in 2003, he served as Communications Director for The Permanente Federation from its founding in 1997. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in that year, Mr. Stewart was a daily journalist for many years with the San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Chronicle, serving in various roles as reporter, section editor, and chief editorial writer. His journalism has appeared in scores of newspapers and magazines over the past 30 years. He holds a BA degree from Northern Michigan University and a MA degree from the State University of New York-Binghamton.
