Over a two day period, sixty nurses, pharmacists, physicians, architects, technology experts, and administrators from the California regions came up with over 100 ideas to prototype and test in KP’s medical facilities that will improve medication administration.

What was impossible to achieve in conference calls over eight months, an interdisciplinary team achieved in just eight hours at the Garfield Center. Practicing nurses teamed up with Epic experts to develop a common practice for using KP HealthConnect during shift change.

Testing Inpatient Workspace Designs
The Garfield Center allowed KP providers from multiple regions to work together to test and refine inpatient workspace designs easily and cost efficiently, without having to interrupt care in a real hospital.
