Dr. Peckler moved to San Francisco in September of 1989, just in time for the World Series pitting the Giants against the A’s and, of course, the Earthquake—two events that are emblazoned in his memory as a sports enthusiast and a dedicated member of our Emergency Department. He joined San Rafael’s Emergency Department in 1990, while also working as a helicopter flight physician at Stanford University. His patients and colleagues admire and respect him for his personal warmth and many clinical contributions. Beyond these attributes, his colleagues particularly appreciate his culinary prowess, which he puts to work to feed many physicians and hungry family members at key facility functions.
