KP Works to Bridge the Great Divide in Health and Health Care
Disparities in health and health care are a tragic problem in the United States — a problem that needlessly kills thousands of people every year.
Kaiser Permanente is committed to eliminating disparities in health and health care. We are doing this in a number of ways, including:
- working to provide equitable care to our members
- deploying resources to areas of need in the communities we serve, and
- creating and implementing strategies and policies that support equity in health nationwide, including those that involve universal health coverage.
We Can Make a Difference
It doesn't have to be this way. We can fight for equal treatment
for everyone. We can advocate for universal health care. We can face,
and manage, our individual health risks. We can make healthy decisions
to reduce our risk of getting sick. We encourage you to learn more about
disparities in health and health care.
Bookmark this site and come back regularly to get the latest information about Kaiser Permanente's work to increase awareness of the problem and our efforts to eliminate disparities in health and health care. We'll also provide links to other great resources. Stay tuned for news about an event KP will host later this year. Whether it's an in-person event or a virtual forum, it will be something through which you can exchange ideas and opinions and learn how you can be a part of the solution.
