Kaiser Permanente Opens New Medical Office In East Cobb County

GEORGIA EXPANSION INITIATIVE

ATLANTA — Kaiser Permanente announced today the grand opening of a new medical office in East Cobb to provide expert health care service. Dignitaries from state and county institutions were on hand for the event.

Members of the Georgia Legislature and Cobb County attended the grand opening, including Sen. Judson Hill and Rep. Matt Dollar; Cobb County Commissioner Tim Lee; Eric Flamm, president of the East Cobb Business Association; and Holly Bass, vice president of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.

As part of the grand opening, Kaiser Permanente presented a $10,000 grant to Sope Creek Elementary School to fund a walking fitness trail, which will promote exercise and well-being to the school’s students and teachers and to the entire East Cobb community.

“We are honored to receive this generous grant from Kaiser Permanente to expand our fitness track and add exercise stations,” said Martha Whalen, principal of Sope Creek Elementary. “This will provide our 1,100 students, as well as the Sope Creek community at large, increased opportunities to improve their physical fitness.”

Located in the Woodlawn Square Shopping Center at 1205 Johnson Ferry Road, the East Cobb Medical Office includes exam rooms, laboratory, pharmacy and basic radiology. This is the first of several medical offices that Kaiser Permanente plans to open through metro Atlanta in 2010.

Kimberly Williams, MD, and Patrice Gaspard, MD, along with a professional health care staff, provide medical services at the new location. Williams is the office’s Adult Medicine physician, while Gaspard is its pediatrician. Both offer added convenience and expert service to members who choose this location for their care.

Kaiser Permanente members in the area who want to select the East Cobb Medical Office for their health care needs can contact the Health Line at (404) 365-0966, connect to www.kp.org or visit the location.
