Judith A. Johansen, JD has served on the boards of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. since April 2006. She serves on the Audit and Compliance Committee, Community Benefit Committee and Governance, Accountability and Nominating Committee. Since July 2008, she has held the position of president of Marylhurst University in Portland, Ore. From 2001 to 2006, Johansen was president and chief executive officer of PacifiCorp, also in Portland — she joined the company in 2000 as executive vice president of Regulation and External Affairs. From 1998 to 2000, she served as chief executive officer and administrator of Bonneville Power Administration, and from 1996 to 1998 was vice president, business development at Avista Energy (formerly Washington Water Power Co.).
In 2007, Johansen was appointed by the governor of Oregon as president of the Port of Portland Commission. She also serves on the boards of the Nature Conservancy, Oregon Chapter, Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., Bank of the Cascades and IDACORP, Inc.
Johansen received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Colorado State University and a juris doctor degree from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.
