Kathy Lancaster

Kathy Lancaster, chief financial officer and executive vice president of strategic planning, joined Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in 1998.
Promoted to chief financial officer in 2005, Ms. Lancaster oversees the controller’s office, treasury, procurement and supply, financial shared services functions, and strategic planning, as well as the finance teams of the revenue cycle function, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation, and KP HealthConnect™, Kaiser Permanente’s integrated medical records system. She also provides financial leadership for the pharmacy group, national facilities organization, and each of Kaiser Permanente’s eight geographic regions. Prior to her role as chief financial offer and executive vice president of strategic planning, Ms. Lancaster held various strategy and financial planning roles, including the development and implementation of the organization’s successful financial turnaround.
For more than two decades Ms. Lancaster has partnered with employers, providers, and members in health care delivery, focusing on new product development, network management, and health plan operations. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she held a number of senior leadership roles in underwriting and network management for Prudential Insurance Company's western region, in addition to heading up the company's health maintenance organization in Northern California.
Ms. Lancaster holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola Marymount University.
