| 12/18/09 | Kaiser Permanente’s ‘Spread Health’ Campaign Wins CLIO Healthcare Award Kaiser Permanente’s “Spread Health” campaign has won a silver award in the Integrated Campaign category in the first-ever CLIO Healthcare Awards competition. The award was presented to Campbell-Ewald, a Warren, Mich.-based advertising agency that created the multi-year Thrive campaign in partnership with Kaiser Permanente. Campbell-Ewald has worked with Kaiser Permanente since the rollout of the first Thrive ads in 2004. The new awards competition, an extension of the The CLIO Awards, one of the world’s most recognized awards competitions for advertising, design and interactive, honors creative excellence and innovation in advertising and communications in the healthcare industry. |

Cotterell, the pharmacy quality and patient safety leader for Kaiser Permanente's operations in California, has been appointed to the National Quality Forum’s Measure Prioritization Advisory Committee. The committee was created by the NQF to lay out a strategy for identifying priorities for health care performance improvement. At Kaiser Permanente, Cotterell has direct responsibilities in California for pharmacy quality management, medication safety initiatives and performance improvement, as well as providing national leadership on these matters throughout the organization. |

The data provided by the private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality, found that among all reporting health plans across the nation, Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii has the highest breast cancer screening rate for women age 42 to 69. |

Dr. McCaw, medical director, Family Violence Prevention Program, Kaiser Permanente Northern California, will accept the award Oct. 10 from the Family Violence Prevention Fund at the organization’s National Conference on Health and Domestic Violence in New Orleans. |

The study evaluated mail-order pharmacies across five factors: ordering convenience, delivery convenience, medication availability and information, cost competitiveness and customer service. |

| 9/22/09 | Human Rights Campaign Foundation Recognizes Kaiser Permanente with Perfect Score for Treatment of LGBT Employees For the fifth consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente received a perfect 100 percent score from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for Kaiser Permanente’s treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. Kaiser Permanente is among 305 companies and organizations in the United States to receive a perfect score from the HRCF. Only 259 companies and organizations were so honored in 2008. |
