Kaiser Permanente’s Marilyn Chow Honored for HIT Contributions to Patient Care
Marilyn Chow, Kaiser Permanente’s vice president for National Patient Care Services has been chosen for a HIT Men and Women Award, presented by Healthcare IT News. The award honors top leaders in health care information technology.
The nine honorees come from throughout the health care IT industry, and include policymakers, health care providers, technology vendors and health care payers. More than 1,000 of the publication’s readers voted on the awards, with winners selected in three categories: Enhancing Patient Care through Health IT, Shapers and Influencers and Innovators. Chow was chosen in the Enhancing Patient Care category.
An awards ceremony will be held March 4 in New Orleans, as part of the HIMSS13 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference and exhibition.
