Care Stories Blog, Every Body Walk! Win Communications Excellence Awards

Kaiser Permanente has won five AVA Digital Awards for digital communications excellence. The AVA Digital Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication. Entries are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, which consists of several thousand production, marketing, communication, advertising, public relations and freelance professionals.

Care Stories is a collection of first-person video narratives from patients, physicians and staff that illustrate Kaiser Permanente’s dedication to treating patients’ total health. Care Stories presents Kaiser Permanente members talking about their own care in their own words, unscripted and uncompensated. The blog also features some of Kaiser Permanente’s physicians and employees doing what they do best — caring for our members and striving to do that better each day. Launched in 2011, Care Stories showcases how Kaiser Permanente provides excellent care across specialties, facilities and providers, and leverages state-of-the-art technology to help patients become active partners in managing their health.

Every Body Walk!

Walking 30 minutes a day, five days a week, is the first step toward better health. This simple, take-charge message comes from Every Body Walk!, a public awareness campaign aimed at starting a national conversation about the health benefits of walking. Powered by Kaiser Permanente, Every Body Walk! contains news and resources on walking, health information, walking maps, how to find walking groups in your area, a personal pledge to start walking, and a place to share stories about your walking experiences.

“Walk-And-Talk with Every Body Walk!” is a public service announcement about the health benefits of walking that stars the original cast of the award-winning television series The West Wing. Made in partnership with comedy website Funny or Die, the PSA gives a nod to the show’s trademark “walk-and-talk” scenes.
