Marilyn Chow Receives American Organization of Nurse Executives' Lifetime Achievement Award

Kaiser Permanente’s Marilyn Chow, RN, PhD, FAAN, vice president, National Patient Care Services, is this year’s recipient of the American Organization of Nurse Executives’ Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award celebrates AONE members who have shown outstanding leadership and innovation in their fields. Chow has been a key player in many of Kaiser Permanente’s endeavors, and is currently the chair of the Institute of Medicine’s Standing Committee on Credentialing Research in Nursing. She also is a nationally recognized leader in the ongoing effort to promote patient safety.

”Marilyn has made enormous contributions to the world of nursing, not only at Kaiser Permanente, but also on a national scale. We are so pleased that her nursing leadership peers, as well as the rest of the world, are acknowledging her achievements,” said Jed Weissberg, senior vice president, Hospitals, Quality and Care Delivery Excellence. “We want to congratulate her on this well-deserved award!”

Chow will receive her Lifetime Achievement Award during the AONE 46th Annual Meeting and Exposition in Denver on March 21.
