'Amazing Food Detective' Gets Nine of 10 Stars in USA Today Review

"The Incredible Adventures of the Amazing Food Detective" is a hit, according to a games reviewer published in USA Today who gave the game nine stars out of 10 in a recent review.

Jinny Gudmundsen, who is also the editor of Computing With Kids magazine, said that the Amazing Food Detective was fun and easy to play, while still delivering clear messages about the importance of healthy eating and active living.

"The message about eating healthfully and exercising clearly comes through all aspects of this game, while it remains fun to play," she wrote.

In the review, "Kid Detectives Fight Childhood Obesity," Gudmundsen notes that arcade-style minigames in Amazing Food Detective are made available after gamers solve mysteries relating to children who eat too much, or don’t eat the right foods, or don’t exercise enough. She also notes that the game shuts itself off after 20 minutes of screen time and encourages users to walk away from the game and get some exercise.
