Kaiser Permanente Announces New Staff Physicians for Loveland Medical Office

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Kaiser Permanente Colorado, the state’s largest nonprofit health plan, has announced that three local physicians have joined its Loveland Medical Office, scheduled to open on Oct. 1, 2012.

Kaiser Permanente Loveland Medical Offices

Located at 4901 Thompson Parkway, the Loveland Medical Office will be open to all Kaiser Permanente members in the Northern Colorado service area. The facility will offer primary care (family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics), laboratory, pharmacy and radiology services, including mammography.

With a unique integrated care delivery system in its medical offices, Kaiser Permanente makes it easy to connect to health care providers and services around the clock to stay healthy. The Loveland Medical Office will offer many same-day appointments in order to meet the needs of busy individuals and families. Through My Health Manager, Kaiser Permanente’s personal health record, Northern Colorado members will also be able to connect with their physician using secure email, renew prescriptions and make or change appointments online. More than 4 million Kaiser Permanente members nationwide are currently using this tool, including more than 230,000 members in Colorado.

“I’m thrilled to join Kaiser Permanente and have the opportunity to practice medicine in Northern Colorado,” said Jamison Bohl, MD, Kaiser Permanente Loveland. “The Loveland Kaiser Permanente Medical Office is unique in that it offers comprehensive health care close to home. Northern Colorado patients will now have convenient access to integrated care where they can see their physician, pick up prescriptions and have blood work done all at the same place.”

In addition to the Loveland Medical Office, Kaiser Permanente’s Northern Colorado expansion plan includes a medical office opening in Fort Collins, also on Oct. 1; a medical office in Greeley opening in 2014; and a partnership agreement with Banner Health hospitals and physicians. This partnership is the first of its kind for Kaiser Permanente and will allow for the sharing and utilization of health information technology to better coordinate patient care. Members living in Northern Colorado will also have access to more than 400 community-based providers in the health plan’s preferred network.

Kaiser Permanente’s expansion to Northern Colorado is expected to bring approximately 100 jobs to the region.
