Kaiser Permanente to open new medical center in McDonough on Monday, Sept. 30

Henry Towne Centre Medical Center will have the capacity to serve 22,000 members

ATLANTA, Ga. – On Monday, September 30, Kaiser Permanente will open its eleventh medical center to accommodate its growing membership in Henry County and surrounding areas.

The Kaiser Permanente Henry Towne Centre Medical Center is located at 1125 Towne Centre Village Drive in McDonough across from the new Home Depot on Jonesboro Road. The 34,500 square-foot facility represents an $8 million investment in the community.

Kaiser Permanente will staff the new facility with three full-time physicians supported by a team of clinical and administrative personnel. Health care services offered at the new center include family practice, adult medicine, pediatrics and on-site lab, X-ray, and pharmacy. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

"We're committed to making our services easy to use and convenient for our members," said Carolyn Kenny, Kaiser Permanente's president. "Our new medical center provides an excellent location for serving existing and future members in this high growth area."

Reporter's note: Kaiser Permanente will host an official Dedication Ceremony for local dignitaries at the new medical center on Tuesday, October 8, from 10 - 11:30 a.m., with facility tours. Reporters who would like to tour the facility prior to opening or those interested in attending the Dedication Ceremony may contact Public Relations Manager Earnestine Perry at (404) 364-4754.
