Local Atlanta physician named chairman of national Permanente Federation Executive Committee
ATLANTA, Ga. – Bruce Perry, MD, Medical Director for the Atlanta-based Southeast Permanente Medical Group, Inc., was recently named Chairman of the five-member Permanente Federation Executive Committee of the Permanente Medical Group, Inc., the nation's largest medical group that provides medical care and services exclusively to Kaiser Permanente members.
Dr. Perry will serve a two-year term. He will be involved in agenda setting for the Executive Committee and other national governing groups. He succeeds Ron Copeland, MD, Executive Medical Director for the Ohio Permanente Medical Group. In addition to Drs. Perry and Copeland, the Committee includes Francis J. Crosson, MD, Executive Director of The Permanente Federation; Robert Pearl, MD, Executive Medical Director and CEO, The Permanente Medical Group; and Jeffrey Weisz, MD, Medical Director of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.
Dr. Perry became of member of the Executive Committee in 2003. He currently serves on the board of The Permanente Company, LLC, the business development, management and consulting entity of the Permanente Federation aimed at supporting and promoting Permanente Medicine.

Dr. Perry graduated of the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and has a master's in Public Health from the University of Washington. He is board certified in family practice and geriatrics.
Kaiser Permanente is the state of Georgia's largest nonprofit health plan, serving the health care needs of Atlanta metro area residents for 22 years. Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, Inc. currently provides comprehensive health care services to approximately 275,000 members through 15 medical facilities in a 28-county service, and a network of affiliated hospitals and physicians. The Health Plan provided more than $5 million in community benefit programs and services.
