GoGirlGo! Atlanta Project Kicks Off with Grants to 14 Local Community Agencies
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Atlanta Women’s Foundation (AWF), in partnership with Kaiser Permanente of Georgia and the Women’s Sports Foundation, will present grants totaling $168,000 to 14 local girl-serving organizations as part of the GoGirlGo! Atlanta initiative on Thursday, May 26, during a noon luncheon at the City Grill in downtown Atlanta’s Hurt Building (50 Hurt Plaza).
The GoGirlGo! Atlanta project encourages young girls to lead healthier, safer and more productive lives by engaging in physical activity. Over the next three years, a total of $500,000 in grants will be distributed. Officials from the following agencies will be on hand to accept the awards.

Kaiser Permanente is the state of Georgia's largest nonprofit health plan, serving the health care needs of Atlanta metro area residents for 22 years. Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, Inc. currently provides comprehensive health care services to approximately 275,000 members through 15 medical facilities in a 28-county service, and a network of affiliated hospitals and physicians. The Health Plan provided more than $5 million in community benefit programs and services.
