New Managers of Medical Office Administration Named at 10 Kaiser Permanente Medical Facilities
ATLANTA — Kaiser Permanente has named the individuals listed below as new managers of medical office administration at 10 of its medical facilities in the metro Atlanta area. The managers are responsible for facility oversight of all departments, ensuring focused leadership, exceptional service and clinical excellence for their designated medical facility.
- Constance Abbott — Kaiser Permanente Stonecrest Medical Center
Abbott joined Kaiser Permanente in 2007 as the clinical supervisor in the Pediatrics department at Kaiser Permanente’s Southwood Medical Center in Jonesboro. Prior to that, she worked as a clinical manager at Grady Memorial Hospital. Abbott holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Clayton State College and State University. She resides in Conyers with her husband, Michael.
- Bobette Brizendine — Kaiser Permanente TownPark Medical Center
Brizendine joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005 as an internal medicine advice nurse. She has also served as a charge nurse and clinical supervisor. She has more than 20 years of heath care experience, including the ER, ICU, as well as management and operations. Brizendine holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi. A mother of two, she resides in Vinings with her husband and enjoys exercising, gardening and traveling to the North Georgia mountains. She also is active in her local church and the Georgia Nurses Association.
- Pat Burrows — Kaiser Permanente Cascade Medical Center
A registered nurse, Burrows joined Kaiser Permanente in 1993 and has more than 25 years of health care administration experience, including ambulatory care delivery, program development and budget management. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she worked for Southwest Hospital, Crawford Long Hospital and the Georgia Department of Human Services. Burrows holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from St. Joseph’s College and a master’s in public health administration from Rutgers University. She resides in Decatur.
- Melinda Colcord — Kaiser Permanente Alpharetta Medical Center
Colcord joins Kaiser Permanente with more than 16 years of financial management experience with Dionex, Dell Computer and Cabot Corporation. Colcord holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the St. Edwards University and has completed additional Business Process Improvement and Total Quality Management training at Dell University. She resides in Alpharetta.
- Artis Flowers — Kaiser Permanente Gwinnett Medical Center
Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Flowers worked as a clinical administrator at Kelsey-Seybold Clinics, Houston’s largest HMO. He also has served as regional director of managed care for United Surgical Partners in Nashville and director of business development for Amsurg Corporation. Flowers holds a bachelor’s degree in business management/marketing from Dillard University and a master’s degree in public health from Meharry Medical College. He resides in Chamblee.
- Laura Hannah — Kaiser Permanente Forsyth Medical Office
Hannah joins Kaiser Permanente after working for eight years at Dunwoody Medical Center as a recreational therapist, physical therapy technician, orthopedic technician and quality assurance officer. She also spent six years working in marketing roles for Dunwoody Medical Center, Barrow Medical Center and The Bridge Assisted Living.
Hannah holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation from North Georgia College and State University. She resides in Dacula.
- Cathy Mintz — Kaiser Permanente Brookwood Medical Office and Kaiser Permanente Piedmont Specialty Center
Mintz joined Kaiser Permanente in 1993 and has more than 25 years of health care and laboratory experience. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she worked for Georgia Baptist Medical Center, Smith-Kline Laboratories and the Upjohn Company. Mintz holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and laboratory technology from Auburn University and a master’s of science in health services administration from Central Michigan University. An empty nester and mother of two, Mintz resides in Sandy Springs and enjoys music, dancing and reading mystery novels in her spare time.
- Mike Mogilski — Kaiser Permanente Crescent Medical Center
Prior to his new role, Mogilski served as a senior financial analyst for the organization. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, he worked as a financial analyst for S1 Corporation, Lanier Healthcare, Porsche Cars North America and Xerox. Mogilski holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology. The Norcross resident is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the American Legion.
- Jan Ritter — Kaiser Permanente Sugar Hill-Buford Medical Center
Ritter joins Kaiser Permanente with 10 years of banking operations management experience. She attended Waubonsee Community College and the Institute of Financial Education in Chicago. A mother of two daughters, she resides in Dacula with Bill, her husband of 29 years.
- Dan Sedrak — Kaiser Permanente West Cobb Medical Center
Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Sedrak worked as a project consultant for a firm providing services to the Atlanta Housing Authority and spent seven years as an officer in the U.S. Army, where he served as a platoon leader, executive officer, liaison officer and battery commander. Sedrak holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in leadership studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. He resides in Smyrna.
