Kaiser Permanente Receives Outstanding Community Partner Award from EarthShare of Georgia
ATLANTA — Kaiser Permanente announced today it received the 2010 Outstanding Community Partner award from EarthShare of Georgia for its contributions to the environmental organization through the years.

Since 2004, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia has pledged more than $300,000 to EarthShare of Georgia’s member organizations, and it continues to have the largest campaign in the private sector. As an Earth Day sponsor, Kaiser Permanente has involved thousands of its employees and physicians as volunteers in environmentally-related improvement projects throughout metro Atlanta.
“We are proud to receive this recognition,” said Peter Andruszkiewicz, president of Kaiser Permanente of Georgia. “Kaiser Permanente supports and partners with EarthShare of Georgia because we share a commitment to healthy communities. We have worked with EarthShare of Georgia since 2002 and are proud to be a part of an organization that helps our communities lead healthy lives and thrive.”
The 2010 Outstanding Community Partner award was presented during the Earth Day Leadership Breakfast held at the Georgia Aquarium on April 23.
“Support from Kaiser Permanente is crucial to the growth of both EarthShare of Georgia and the environmental member organizations we support year-round,” said Madeline Reamy, executive director of EarthShare of Georgia. “The organization has kept a consistent campaign, despite the state of the economy, which demonstrates its commitment to a healthier environment.”
