Peter Andruszkiewicz Named Chairman of Henry W. Grady Health System Foundation
ATLANTA — Peter Andruszkiewicz, president of Kaiser Permanente Georgia, has been named chairman of the board of directors of the Henry W. Grady Health System Foundation. The foundation supports the mission of Grady Health System by improving the quality of services for metro Atlanta’s indigent, uninsured, and critical care patients through education, capital renovation, research and development, and advanced medical technology and support.

A seasoned health care professional, Mr. Andruszkiewicz is responsible for the operations of Georgia’s largest nonprofit health plan. Kaiser Permanente provides comprehensive health care services to more than 250,000 members through 19 medical facilities and a network of affiliated hospitals and physicians in metro Atlanta. Under Mr. Andruszkiewicz’s leadership, Kaiser Permanente Georgia helped kick off the Greater Grady Capital Campaign in the fall of 2008 with a $5 million donation. This gift was used to purchase ten energy-efficient ambulances and to support Grady’s historic mission of serving Atlanta’s underserved population.
“It is a privilege to serve on this board,” said Mr. Andruszkiewicz. “Both Grady Hospital and Kaiser Permanente work to improve the health of the communities we serve. I hope my contribution to the foundation will help make Grady an even better hospital for those who need it most in metro Atlanta.”
A member of the Greater Grady Capital Campaign committee, Mr. Andruszkiewicz also serves on the boards of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Metro Atlanta YMCA. He is a member of the Buckhead Coalition and the executive committee of the Georgia Children’s Health Alliance. He was named President of Kaiser Permanente Georgia in October 2008.
“We are thrilled and honored to have Peter serve as board chair,” said Henry W. Grady Health System Foundation President Lisa Borders. “His health care expertise, leadership, and commitment to our community will prove invaluable as the foundation works to meet the needs of Grady and its patients now and in the future.”
Mr. Andruszkiewicz is a graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts and serves on its board of trustees. He and his wife Danielle live in Atlanta with one of their four children.
