Kaiser Permanente Expands Access to Physician Care on Maui

HONOLULU — Kaiser Permanente Hawaii today announced an expansion of its medical team on Maui with the hiring of James Rafferty, DO, specialist in occupational medicine, at the Wailuku Clinic. He joins over 450 physicians and providers who form the state’s largest medical group, the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, which provides comprehensive care to Kaiser Permanente’s 230,000-plus members in Hawaii.
Dr. Rafferty earned his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his residency at University of Michigan. He is board certified in occupational medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Preventive Medicine, and is also a certified Independent Medical Examiner and Worker’s Compensation Professional. Dr. Rafferty most recently worked as a physician with Kaiser Permanente’s occupational health program in Denver, Colo.
