Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States Hosts Free Health and Wellness Open Houses on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Employees and physicians will volunteer to provide health services in Prince George’s Md. and Northern Virginia
ROCKVILLE, Md. — On Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States will host two community health and wellness open house events from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The health and wellness open houses will be free and open to the public, with locations at the Colmar Manor Community Center in Prince George’s County, Md. and ACCA Child Development Center in Annandale, Va. Both sites will provide free health screens, one-on-one consultations with Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group physicians, and a range of enjoyable fitness activities for the entire family.

Both health and wellness open house events will offer preventive screenings — free to all who attend — including:
- Blood pressure
- Body mass index
- Bone density
- Cholesterol
- Facial Derma scan
- Glucose
- Heart attack/stroke risk assessment
- HIV
- Kidney
- Vision
Beyond health assessments, the health and wellness open houses will offer fun activities for the entire family, such as zumba, ballroom dancing, walking and kid-friendly physical activities. Attendees can also enjoy free massage services.
Kaiser Permanente employees, physicians and executives will be on-site volunteering at both health and wellness open houses.
