OAKLAND, Calif. – Edward Pei, executive vice president of the Consumer Banking Group of First Hawaiian Bank, has been named to the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals.

“We are delighted to have Edward Pei serve on our Board,” said KFHP/KFH Chairman and CEO George C. Halvorson. “We are excited to be working with a distinguished banking executive who has a track record of leadership in the industry. His background makes him an invaluable board contributor in the areas of finance and governance and accountability, and he brings wonderful perspective to the board’s quality and health improvement committee.”

Prior to this position, Pei was senior vice president of the First Hawaiian’s Electronic Banking Division and led the management and marketing of credit and debit card products for both consumers and business clients.

Pei is also active in civic circles. He is currently President-Elect of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, and chairs the Board of Trustees of Academy of the Pacific. He served as Chairman of the March of Dimes Hawaii Chapter from 1985 to 1990, and has also been involved with many other community organizations.
