OAKLAND, Calif. – Judith A. Johansen, the former president and CEO of PacifiCorp in Portland, Ore., has been named to the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals.
“Judith A. Johansen is a wonderful addition to our board,” said KFHP/KFH CEO and Chairman George C. She is providing invaluable counsel to the board in the areas of audit and compliance, governance and accountability, and community benefit.”
Johansen has an extensive record of achievement in her field. She joined PacifiCorp in 2000 as executive vice president of Regulation and External Affairs. As President and CEO, Johansen was responsible for the development of operational efficiency across the company, including oversight of its mining operations, regulated power generation facilities, and wholesale energy services.
PacifiCorp was sold to MidAmerican Energy Holdings in March 2006. Prior to her position with PacifiCorp, Johansen served as CEO and administrator of Bonneville Power Administration from 1998 to 2000, and as vice president, Business Development at Avista Energy (formerly Washington Water Power) from 1996 to 1998. Johansen was appointed by the Governor of Oregon as a Commissioner for the Port of Portland (term expires in 2009).
