Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals Name New Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Philip Fasano brings 20 years of IT experience to the position
OAKLAND, Calif. – Philip Fasano, 48, has been named senior vice president and chief information officer of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. The appointment was announced by Chairman and CEO George C. Halvorson.
"As the leader of Kaiser Permanente's Information Technology operation, Phil will focus on the service, products and people essential to the success of our technology agenda," Halvorson said. "I am confident that Phil's proven ability in a number of settings to interrelate system support and the overall strategy of the organization will be of great value to us. Kaiser Permanente will benefit from his business acumen, strategic approach and deep technical skills."
Fasano has more than 20 years experience in information technology and has served previously as CIO of Deutsche Financial Services, JP Morgan Chase and American Financial Group. He also served as Chief Business Information Officer at Capitol One. Most recently he was president and CEO of Capital Sourcing Group, Inc., based in McLean, Va., providing consulting and services to Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Fasano replaces Bruce Turkstra, who has served as interim CIO since November 2006.

Fasano will assume his duties effective immediately.
