Greg Cleary Named Vice President, Membership Administration for Kaiser Permanente
Oakland, CA – Kaiser Permanente has announced the promotion of Greg Cleary to vice president, Membership Administration. Cleary previously served as director, Membership Administration. He joined Kaiser Permanente in 1999.
In his role, Cleary is responsible for overseeing KP’s Membership Administration sites in San Diego and Fort Worth, TX. These locations include more than 800 employees performing administrative and service functions, such as enrolling new members, issuing ID cards, and managing premium billing, in support of seven KP Regions.
Cleary reports to Jerry Coy, senior vice president, Customer Service & Program Management.
“Greg Cleary’s promotion recognizes his strong contributions to KP, providing leadership for important customer-facing functions supporting KP’s more than 8.6 million members,” said Coy. “He brings a balanced set of excellent leadership and execution skills to his work—he is a strong process manager, has great collaborative skills, and is highly dedicated to supporting his team and KP’s members.”
Cleary also chairs KP’s Membership Administration Community of Practice, a national forum that identifies and recommends Membership Administration functionality, capabilities and best practices needed to meet KP’s customer requirements.
Cleary joined Kaiser Permanente as assistant director of the Membership Administration site in San Diego and was later promoted to director. In 2006, he took on additional responsibility for the Fort Worth, TX location. Prior to KP, Cleary held a variety of positions in the mortgage servicing industry, working for both Wells Fargo and Fallbrook National Bank.
Cleary’s office is located at Kaiser Permanente’s Membership Administration site in San Diego.
Cleary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from San Diego State University. He also completed graduate courses in strategic planning at the University of California, San Diego.
