Trenita Ward Named Vice President, California Member Service Call Centers, for Kaiser Permanente
Oakland, Calif. — Kaiser Permanente has announced the promotion of Trenita Ward to vice president, California Member Service Call Centers. Ward previously served as director, California Member Service Call Centers. She joined Kaiser Permanente in 1988.
In her role, Ward is responsible for overseeing Kaiser Permanente's California Member Service Call Centers in Stockton and Corona. These locations include more than 700 employees answering a wide variety of telephone inquiries – more than 8 million per year – from current and prospective Kaiser Permanente California members about enrollment, benefits, products, coverage, facility information, and available services.
Ward reports to Jerry Coy, senior vice president, Customer Service & Program Management.
"Trenita Ward's promotion recognizes her valuable contributions to Kaiser Permanente, providing leadership for important customer-facing functions," said Coy. "In her 20 years with KP, Trenita has continuously displayed strong execution skills. She has built a culture of service excellence and always does her part to ensure that KP's members and customers get the help they need."
During her first seven years at Kaiser Permanente, Ward held a variety of positions in the Southern California region's Membership Accounting area. In 1995, Ward was a member of the team that opened the original Southern California Member Service Call Center in Corona. At the Member Service Call Center, she began as a team manager and later became a training manager, operations manager, call center manager and then director. Ward became statewide director for the California Member Service Call Centers in 2004.
Ward's office is in Kaiser Permanente's Member Service Call Center site in Corona, Calif. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from California State University, San Bernardino.
