Kaiser Permanente’s Leader of Pharmacy Operations Chosen to Lead the California Pharmacists Association
Oakland, Calif. — Kenneth B. Scott, pharmacy operations leader for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, has been elected President-Elect of the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA). His three-year term as a top elected executive of the organization will begin in 2010 as president-elect. In 2011 he will become president, and in 2012 he will serve as past president. All three posts are part of the Association’s executive leadership team.
Prior to his election as president-elect, Scott served a pair of two-year terms as treasurer of CPhA.
“Kenny has been a valued member of our leadership team as treasurer for some time. In this position, he was instrumental in leading the association to a new level of fiscal efficiency. His election to the presidency is a broad endorsement by our membership of his talent, skills and abilities,” said Lynn Rolston, chief executive officer of CPhA.
Scott, who has been in the pharmacy field for more than 31 years, has been Kaiser Permanente’s pharmacy operations leader in Northern California since 2002. Before that, he worked in private industry, and spent more than 20 years in a variety of pharmacy-leadership positions for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California.
The California Pharmacists Association has approximately 5,000 members in all practice settings. It was founded in 1869 and is the largest state association representing pharmacists in the nation.
