Kaiser Permanente will hold additional forum on Hormone Replacement Therapy
PORTLAND, Ore. – By popular demand, Kaiser Permanente is offering an additional free community forum for women interested in learning more about recent findings in hormone replacement research. The additional forum will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Interstate South Medical Office, 3500 N. Interstate Avenue in Portland.
Weekday forums, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., which will be held at the following Kaiser Permanente medical offices on the dates indicated:

The forums will be led by Kaiser Permanente physicians, health care experts, and researchers at Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research who worked on the federal Women's Health Initiative. One arm of that multi-year study concluded this summer that when post-menopausal women with a uterus take the hormones estrogen and Progestin (an artificial form of progesterone) they increase their risk of heart disease and breast cancer.
