Kaiser Permanente plans to add pediatricians at its medical office in Longview

PORTLAND, Ore. – Pediatrician Dale Bartolome, MD, has accepted a position in Kaiser Permanente’s Longview-Kelso Medical Office, where a new Pediatrics Department is being organized. Dr. Bartolome, who has many years of experience practicing in Longview and most recently in Vancouver, is board-certified in pediatrics. She will start work in July. She will be joined this fall by at least one more pediatrician Kaiser Permanente’s medical group plans to recruit to practice in Longview.

Currently, Kaiser Permanente family practice physicians, physician assistants, and a nurse practitioner provide care directly to about half of Kaiser Permanente members in the Longview area who are children and adolescents. Another half is seen by providers in the community. Families with Kaiser Permanente health coverage will continue to have the choice of having their children seen by clinicians with the Child and Adolescent Clinic in Longview or by clinicians at Kaiser Permanente’s Longview-Kelso Medical Office. The addition of pediatricians to the Kaiser Permanente medical group in Longview will permit more members to be seen at the Kaiser Permanente medical office, where there is a pharmacy and diagnostic services on site.

Kaiser Permanente is a group-practice health care organization serving the health care needs of about 445,000 people in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington, including the dental care needs of about 175,000 people.
