Mental disorders in children is topic of free public lecture sponsored by Kaiser Permanente’s Center for Health Research

PORTLAND, Ore. – Peter S. Jensen, MD, from Columbia University in New York, will deliver the 2003 Saward Lecture in Portland on Monday, Oct. 13, titled “Frontiers of Science and Practice: Understanding and Treating Childhood Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.” Dr. Jensen is director of Columbia University’s Center for the Advancement of Children’s Mental Health and Ruane Professor of Child Psychiatry there. Sponsored by Kaiser Permanente’s Center for Health Research, the 2003 Saward Lecture is open to the public. It will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Newmark Theater in the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, 1111 SW Broadway. Tickets are free but are required to reserve a seat.
