Kaiser Permanente to hold free public forum addressing childhood obesity
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Kaiser Permanente is holding a free forum in Vancouver for parents and others interested in the problem of childhood obesity and ways to help youth be healthy and active. The forum will include remarks by John Pearson, MD, who is a researcher from Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research in Portland, and by Kaiser Permanente pediatricians Lisa Bisgard, MD, and Juliet Baciocco, MD, who practice at Kaiser Permanente's Salmon Creek Medical Office in Vancouver. Their presentations will be followed by audience questions. During the forum, children age 6 and older can participate in a healthy physical activity at the forum site. The forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Salmon Creek Medical Office, 14406 NE 20th Avenue in Vancouver. The forum is free and open to everyone.
