Kaiser Permanente to hold free public forum addressing childhood obesity

PORTLAND, Ore. – Kaiser Permanente is holding a free forum in north Portland on Wednesday, Jan. 21 for parents and others interested in the problem of childhood obesity and ways to help youth be healthy and active. The forum will include remarks by Njeri Karanja, PhD, who is a researcher at Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research in Portland, and by Kaiser Permanente pediatrician Phil Wu, MD. Their presentations will be followed by audience questions.

The forum will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the studio of Portland Cable Access, 2766 NE Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., and will be taped for later broadcast. The forum is open to everyone.
