Kaiser Permanente to hold conference on getting patients to exercise
PORTLAND, Ore. – Kaiser Permanente invites local health professionals and interested members of the community to attend its "Promoting Activity: A Step in the Right Direction" conference on Wednesday, April 14 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The conference will be held at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Portland. The conference will help health professionals and others learn how to motivate patients to get more physically active for better health. Representatives of local fitness organizations will participate in a fitness fair will be held in conjunction with the conference. Continuing medical education credit is available. Cost for non-Kaiser Permanente staff is $99 for physicians, $60 for pharmacists and affiliated clinicians, and $45 for nurses, physical therapists and others.
