VANCOUVER, Wash. – Colette Yamaguchi has been named director of Kaiser Permanente's new Washington State service area. In the newly created post, Yamaguchi will be responsible for operations of five primary and specialty care medical offices in the Vancouver area, and a medical office in Longview-Kelso. A pharmacist by training, Yamaguchi for the past seven years has been Kaiser Permanente's pharmacy service area manager for Southwest Washington. She replaces Ken Terhaar in Longview, who is retiring, and James Farley, in Vancouver, who is moving to a post in health plan operations at Kaiser Permanente's regional headquarters building in Portland.

Kaiser Permanente serves the health care needs of 440,000 people in Oregon and Southwest Washington, including 97,000 in Clark and Skamania counties and more than 34,000 in the Longview-Kelso area.
