Kaiser Permanente names two new vice presidents

PORTLAND, Ore. – Kaiser Permanente has completed its Northwest senior leadership team with appointments to two newly restructured positions. Barney Speight is vice president of Communications and External Affairs, and Gary Morgan is vice president of Product and Business Development.

In his new role, Speight who was most recently interim vice president of Product and Business Development for Kaiser Permanente, will be in charge of media, government, and community relations, as well as employee and customer communications. He will represent Kaiser Permanente on the board of the Associated Oregon Industries, Children First for Oregon, and the Oregon Medical Insurance Pool.

Gary Morgan

Morgan has served as Kaiser Permanente's director of Sales and Account Management since 2001. He has an extensive background in senior sales and executive management positions, having worked for Maxicare, Health Net, and Blue Shield of California.

Kaiser Permanente is a prepaid, group practice health care organization founded in 1945 and serving the health needs of about 450,000 people in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
