Kaiser Permanente names new vice president of Communications and External Affairs
PORTLAND, Ore. – Kaiser Permanente has named Kansas City executive Larry W. Wheeler as its new vice president of Communications and External Affairs for the Northwest Region. In his new role, Wheeler oversees advertising, community relations, government relations, internal communications, media relations, marketing communications, and market research.
Wheeler was most recently president of his own marketing and communications agency, Boasberg Wheeler Communications in Kansas City, Mo. He has an extensive background in the pharmaceutical industry, having been vice president of Communications and Investor Relations for Marion Laboratories, and later a board member and vice president of Communications, Investor Relations & Government Affairs for Burroughs Welcome.
