PORTLAND, Ore. — For the second year in a row, Kaiser Permanente Northwest was ranked ahead of all other Oregon and Washington health plans in U.S. News and World Report’s annual list of “America’s Best Health Plans.”
The magazine works with the National Committee for Quality Assurance to compile data on the plans based on a number of factors: consumer assessment, preventive care, and treatment provided.
Nationally, Kaiser Permanente Northwest was ranked 46th among commercial health plans. That’s up four spots from last year. In addition, Kaiser Permanente Northwest’s Senior Advantage plans ranked 7th among all Medicare plans, up from the 20th spot a year ago.
The rankings were published in the November 16, 2009 edition of the magazine.
Once again, Kaiser Permanente is proud.
Kaiser Permanente is America’s leading integrated health care organization. Founded in 1945, the organization serves the health needs of more than 8.6 million people nationwide. More than 470,000 people in Oregon and Southwest Washington receive their health care from Kaiser Permanente.
