Kaiser Permanente Teams with the Los Angeles Angels as Official Health Care Partner
Fans and community will thrive through programs that promote and support healthier lifestyles.
PASADENA, Calif. — Kaiser Permanente Orange County and the Los Angeles Angels have entered into a sponsorship agreement that makes Kaiser Permanente the “Official Health Care Partner.” The sponsorship will include programs to promote healthier lifestyles in the community and communication efforts stressing the importance of preventive and total health, a central theme of Kaiser Permanente’s ongoing “Thrive” message.
Julie Miller-Phipps, senior vice president and executive director for Kaiser Permanente Orange County said, “We are very excited about our sponsorship. By teaming up with a high caliber and admired organization such as the Angels, we know that the Kaiser Permanente message of living a healthy lifestyle through fitness and eating right will reach millions of individuals and families and help them thrive.”
Kaiser Permanente will be prominently displayed throughout Angel Stadium on the outfield wall, behind home plate, and in the souvenir game day programs. Additionally, Kaiser Permanente’s message of total health will reach a huge audience of fans through print, radio, and television advertising. In-stadium fans will be able to choose healthy eating items designated with Kaiser Permanente’s Thrive logo from various vendors. In addition, every Sunday Angel home game will be known and advertised as “Family Sunday sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.”
“Kaiser Permanente and the Angels have a long standing tradition of community support and the promotion of healthy lifestyles,” said Dennis Kuhl, chairman of the Los Angeles Angels. “We believe that this sponsorship will continue our joint mission, and, more importantly, our shared vision of excellence and community involvement that will improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”
