Download Kaiser Permanente's 2007 Annual Report, 'Spread Health'
"Spread Health," Kaiser Permanente's 2007 annual report, now is available for download.
The report provides a snapshot of the organization's successes and statistics for the previous year, in which Kaiser Permanente provided care for nearly 8.7 million people in nine states and the District of Columbia.
Among the successes highlighted in the report:
- More than 2 million Kaiser Permanente members are signed up to use My Health Manager on kaiserpermanente.org. My Health Manager provides access and convenience for members through the ability to securely email their doctors, schedule appointments, view most lab test results online, and other features.
- Kaiser Permanente investigators published more than 500 papers in peer-reviewed journals, on critical topics such as caffeine and miscarriage risk, alcohol and breast cancer risk, and the link between gestational diabetes and childhood obesity.
- Kaiser Permanente completed four new hospital projects in California and one in Oregon, all constructed using
" green" building techniques and materials that show the organization's intent to be the most sustainable builder and most sustainable health care provider in the United States.
