Call the General Counseling Center at the schools you are considering to make an appointment if you are a new student. If you are a returning student, or have specific questions about the nursing program, make an appointment with a nursing counselor in the nursing department. To make the most of your counseling appointment, check the list below and come prepared:

• Bring a copy of your unofficial transcripts from any courses you have already taken
• Bring a copy of course descriptions from classes taken at other schools
• Make a list of specific questions you want to ask
• Ask for help developing a plan for completing your prerequisites
• Find out what assessment tests are required
• Find out application deadlines for the LVN or ADN/BSN program
